Loving My Veteran
Donation protected
Loving My Veteran is a support community that bring together veterans with PTSD and their families. We offer real and raw stories and insight from both perspectives. We are committed to strengthening our veteran and family community, preventing families from being torn apart by offering support and resources and making sure that you know that you matter.
Some of the issues that we are facing include:
· Reducing Veteran Suicide – 22 Veterans a day are taking their own lives
· Divorce rates among veterans’ families are 30 times higher than the national average
· Lack of care and treatment for Veterans’ mental health and their families
· Lack of support for veteran families
· Limited resources
Since Loving My Veteran’s inception in July of 2020 we have grown to have over 2,000 followers on social media. Our Walking in My Shoes videos are getting 5,000 views a day. We are reaching over 14,000 people. We need to become a 501 c 3, so that we can get sponsorships that will allow us grow to continue and reach more people and further our mission. We are raising this money to cover the cost of becoming a 501 c 3.
Mission Statement: To provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where veterans and their families can come together with others who share the same battles and demons, to let them know they are not alone, One veteran suicide a day is one too many, and it is our mission to reach out to veterans and their families with love and understanding to give them an out, to let them know that we will leave no one behind.
