A Leg Up For Alex

My 25-year-old nephew Alex was critically injured in a car accident on  3/28/18.  His spleen was removed due to internal bleeding. He had two broken ribs and contusions to lungs and kidneys. He suffered a small brain bleed and both legs were broken. Decreased blood flow to his right leg  produced toxins that resulted in shut down of his kidneys and we almost lost him due to kidney failure. In order to save his life his right leg had to be amputated above the knee. He was on a ventilator and unconscious for two days. By God's grace and the prayers of so many, Alex survived and is finally home but he and his family have a long journey ahead.

The first surgery (more are needed) on Alex’s broken and damaged left leg has him unable to put any weight on it for 3 months so essentially he doesn’t have a leg to stand on. Sorry, Alex, I couldn’t resist. This, as well as the other physical, emotional and financial challenges have led to the creation of this page. Alex will be unable to work for at least the next 9-12 months so he will have no income to provide for himself, his two children Ava and A.J. or to pay for his medical bills.

So many of you have supported Alex, my sister Janet Myers and their family with your thoughts, prayers, words and deeds and they appreciate every one of you.  Don't stop praying but they are in need of  financial assistance to help with overwhelming hospital, medical and rehabilitation expenses and hopefully a new prosthetic leg.
