Heart Transplant to my Daughter

My name is Swaroopa, working as cashier for the last 10 years at ShopRite Norwalk Connecticut and my husband runs a small convenient store in Norwalk Connecticut. Since last two years my husband has been suffering from Liver Cirrhosis disease and was on medications. The doctors have informed us that liver transplantation will be his permanent cure and he is on the waiting list for the transplantation. While our family was battling for my husband’s cure we got hit with shocking news that my daughter Vaidhavi has been diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. She has always been very active and cheerful and never had any health issues. One day she had severe stomach ache and vomiting issue and we thought it was just a stomach bug but this continued for a week. She was on liquid diet for a week and that seemed to help a bit but did not cure her condition. We had to make an appointment with a specialist and they did an ultrasound which was when we found out that her heart was too big. Her heart was only working at 15% efficiency. The chambers were enlarged which didn’t let the heart pump enough blood throughout her body. She was admitted to the Yale New Haven Children’s hospital in ICU for a month undergoing treatment. They did many tests and finally concluded that we need a heart transplant. We come from a humble background and the recent unexpected events have taken a huge financial toll on us. My husband has not been able to run his convenient store and I am not able to work full time because my daughter needed my attention. We need your help to support my daughter’s medical expenses. Vaidhavi has a dream to become a veterinarian one day as she has always been an animal lover. She wants to open up her own hospital when she is older to take care of all animals for free.
