snake needs medical attention!

i’m going to start off by saying that my snake is everything to me, she is the absolute sweetest thing i have ever met and i might have to make the extremely hard decision to give her away. in september, i lost my cat (who i had since i was 3 years old) and two guinea pigs a month from each other. my mental health is...bad. i’m going back into therapy (covered by my insurance) and i’ve cried multiple times at the thought of getting rid of my snake. after losing so many pets, she was the one thing i latched onto and i don’t want to let her go.

suki has a bump on her mouth and swelling on her “gums.” i found it maybe 3 months ago and she was on antibiotics. it didn’t work so i took her back to the vet. she got put on more antibiotics but those didn’t work. i had a cytology done and then a culture but they didn’t give me the right answers. at this point, i was $600 deep and all of my “life savings” were running low. my vet told me we can either extend the antibiotics (which would probably do nothing) or i can go to a specialist. jeez. i give these people $600 for them to say “oh well, go somewhere else!” anyway, i had xrays done and it turns out she has an infection in her mouth and it’s literally eating away at her bone. she needs surgery to have it removed but the surgery is going to cost between $335-$610. i have $110 in my bank account, but i can’t go under $100 without being charged. i was trying to get a job at mcdonald’s but my depression barely gets me out of bed and i’m too depressed to even walk 5 minutes and put the application in. my family says this snake is ruining my life since i spent all my life savings on her but i refuse to give her up until i know i’ve done every thing i could do.
