Help me lay my father to rest

On February 18th of this year my dad died in a hit and run accident and the driver who did this to him fled the scene and is yet to be apprehended. Needless to say, my life has been turned upside down and I’ve been scrambling to find the funds to lay my father to rest. My dad did not have insurance and he made very little as a day laborer. His bank accounts are inaccesible due to him not having a will or any blood relatives in this country. Although I am not his biological daughter, he raised me as his own and was the only positive paternal figure I had in my life. He gave me a happy childhood when the rest of it was chaos. He gave me everything he could provide without asking for anything in return. Due to how sudden his death was, my financial circumstances, and his family being back in Guatemala, I’m currently trying to gather enough money to give him a proper burial. I am pretty much the only person he has here. Burials are very expensive and I’ve been picking at every penny and I’m still running short. If you’d be willing to donate any amount to contribute towards his funeral expenses I would greatly appreciate it. He meant the world to me and it saddens me that I don’t have the means to do this for him. That’s why I’m asking for donations so I can at least do this for him as he has done so much for me.
