<div>Some of you may already know me through social media, but for those who don’t, my name is Josh, and I’m an independent filmmaker who has struggled with mental health from a young age.

<div>Over the years, I’ve lost friends, seen people close to me suffer, and witnessed the devastating impact mental health struggles can have on individuals and families. Because of this, I’ve dedicated myself to creating documentaries that raise awareness, start meaningful conversations, and help people feel less alone.

<div>Recently, I completed a documentary on neurodivergence, which is now set to be shown on TV. I created that project entirely through passion, dedication, and countless unpaid hours because I genuinely believed in the message behind it. But producing documentaries at this level comes with huge personal and financial sacrifices, and I’ve realised that to continue creating impactful work sustainably, I need support.

<div>That’s why I’m raising funds for my next mental health documentary.

<div><strong>What the funding will support</strong>
</div>

<div>I will personally be doing the majority of the work myself, but filmmaking is still a collaborative process. The funding will help cover essential production costs, including:

<div>• Filming and production equipment
</div>
<div>• Travel and accommodation
</div>
<div>• Editing and post-production
</div>
<div>• Camera operators and additional crew support
</div>
<div>• Music and sound composition
</div>
<div>• Research and documentary development
</div>
<div>• General production expenses and specialist support when needed

<div>My minimum goal is £15,000, which would allow me to begin production properly and cover the core costs required to make the documentary happen.

<div>However, my ideal goal is £30,000, which would allow me to fully realise the vision for this project, improve overall production quality, spend more time on colour grading and additional crew and storytelling, and create something as powerful and impactful as possible. I would also be able to hire an extra editor and another drone pilot.

<div><strong>Transparency and purpose</strong>

</div>
<div>Every donation will go directly toward the production of this documentary and the genuine costs involved in creating it professionally.
</div>

</div>
<div>If the documentary generates revenue through distribution or sales, those funds will first be used to cover any remaining production, post-production, and distribution costs associated with the project.
</div>

</div>
<div>Once all legitimate project costs have been fully covered, any remaining profits will be donated to small mental health charities and initiatives that are making a real difference.
</div>

<div>I truly believe documentaries can change perspectives, start conversations, and help people who may otherwise suffer in silence.

<div>My goal is to create something honest, emotional, and powerful — a documentary that genuinely helps people feel understood and less alone.
