Emergency Relocation Fund

A brief introduction video and share about why I am raising these funds.

A fundraiser for Mx. Maya García, a disabled, 2-spirit multiracial reconnecting Indigenous artist and advocate. I need emergency funds to relocate overseas to reunite with my partner, the love of my life. I'm restoring my health and need additional support so I can move overseas, to be with my love. I stopped working full time in 2020, due to health issues, first from chronic illnesses, then from long COVID, which I'm still recovering from, three years after round one of COVID in March of 2020, the same week I was laid off from my job, on top of the existing health issues I already had. I have multiple physical, mental, and cognitive disabilities. All of these health issues have affected my mobility, cognitive abilities, executive function and quality of life. My life partner is severely depressed and dealing with health issues too. I need to relocate to be with him, as quickly as possible, for both of our long-term care and wellbeing.

I’m surviving on crowdfunding while I prepare to relocate with my love and establish a steady source of income within the limits of my abilities.
