Hi, my name is Ryli and I’m an 8 year old miniature dachshund. My mommy, Heather, got me when I was a baby and I knew she was perfect for me! She loves me unconditionally, she’s addicted to me, she adores me, she takes amazing care of me, she sleeps with me every night, and she gives me yummy treats!
Lately I haven’t been myself. I’ve been extremely tired, dull, head pressing, star gazing, bumping into things, shaky and physically unstable. My mommy took me to the vet and got my blood drawn. My blood results weren’t good and told my mommy something is wrong with my liver. Mommy took me to a specialist for further testing. I spent the whole day there Thursday with lots of doctors sad and missing my mom. I was so happy and excited to see her when the doctors finished with me, but I could tell and see she was so extremely sad although she was happy I was in her arms. My liver is failing and I have severe liver disfunction. The next step would be to have the doctors do a biopsy of my liver to see if my problem is treatable. My mommy has always been here for me and I want to be here for her!
The expenses of the biopsy and treatment is expensive and something I wasn’t prepared for, I could of never planned for what’s wrong with Ryli emotionally, but financially, frankly I can’t afford it without help from friends and family. Ryli is the light of my life, my rock, she’s literally my whole life. She’s my companion, my partner, my baby, my best friend, and my whole world! I absolutely adore her and love her more then I could ever put into words.
The biopsy will give me a chance to possibly treat her and have her live much longer then the rate she’s at currently. If I don’t do the biopsy she has very minimal time left. Telling you how much that breaks my heart and devastates me is unexplainable.
The cost of the biopsy, blood work & follow up visit will be between $3,800-$4,000.
