Ryley & Chris's IVF

Donation protected
Our story begins when we were first dating.    As Ryley was getting to know me, I shared with her how I would like to have kids.

I guess I was a bit on the TMI scale, because her reply was  "Wow, I can hear your biological clock ticking all the way over here"

Somehow, knowing this, she still agreed to marry me.  She was everything I could hope for, and she was more than willing to work towards that end.

Unfortunately, while I was in my twenties, I was battling depression and felt like I was in a haze.  As I was shuffled from Doctor to Doctor, I finally ended up at a Urologist.  What they found was that my natural Testosterone was very, very low.

At this point, they put me on artificial testosterone.  An unfortunate side effect was that it turned off my natural testosterone (not that I'm mad at these Doctors, they helped me get more energy and feel better).

So, fast forward to to after Ryley and I got married.  After multiple Doctors, and multiple tests showed one thing.  My body was not willing to create Testosterone by itself, and as a result, I was unable to produce sperm.

Not to be disuaded, we finally found a Doctor in Denver who, while pulling no punches, put me on HCG, and low and behold, I was producing sperm.  At first, it was fifty or so.  By the second test, I was at a million, the latest test, 4 million!   This is where I learned a sad fact, for natural conception they like you to have tens of millions of sperm.  Alas this was not me.  My body was willing to contribute, but just not enough.

I was discouraged and disheartened.   So now, we are looking at IVF.   Most insurance will not cover IVF, and mine is no different.

While we could put this on loans, we would much rather save the potential cash for the future babies.

I'm not going to lie, there are many more people that are in need, and with them, it's not to just concieve.

I also know that there are those who would like to be part of our journey, so, if you'd like to contribute to us, we would love to have you as part of this worldwind journey.

We are planning to document this (Twitter - @TheHardysGrow /Instagram - @herethehardysgrow ) as we move forward, so that those who are interested can follow us on this journey.
