Thank you for taking the time to read this...Rylee is my niece who has recently been diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome (kidney disorder that causes the body to excrete too much protein which causes her little body to retain way too much fluid) and has been in and out of Oshei Childrens Hospital for the past month. The doctors are currently trying to stabilize her condition and get her symptoms under control, however, Rylee's little body doesn't seem to be responding to the medications/treatments they are giving her (which is extremely painful). My sister-in-law Amanda is the most amazing single working mother and hasn't left Rylee's side since she was admitted over a week ago for her extended stay. At this point we are not sure when Rylee will be able to come home, and with it being this close to Christmas it has put a huge financial strain on Amanda. It's heartbreaking to watch her having to deal with the stress of making financial ends meet along with the stress of having a very sick little girl.
