Fund Mini Warrior Baseball Clinics!

Hello everyone, my name is Ryan Petrone. I am a college baseball player for Merrimack College and I am the coordinator and coach behind Mini Warrior Fundraising Baseball Clinics . On March 24th, 2016 I was playing second base for my college team against Felician College in NJ. The ball was hit off the bat to the left of me and as I started to head to the ball to make the play, our first baseman dove for the ball, deflecting off his glove and redirecting to my right. The result, I planted my foot to make a play and my toe and right foot got jammed in the turf and spun around the entire way. (By far, this was the most pain I have ever experienced in my life.) I ended up dislocating my right ankle while breaking the fibula bone and fracturing the tibia bone connecting my leg to my ankle on both sides. I am awaiting surgery to get plates and screws put in my bones to repair this injury. It will be a long recovery but I hope to be walking in a boot by early June.
With this said, I own my own community fundraising business where I coach clinics at local little leagues. This spring I was planning on working with my father and his landscaping company on the side to make extra money to market my camp, pay for my insurance, the food involved, the t-shirts, and all the other up front costs that are involved with running 6 fundraising clinic's throughout the summer. My proposal is that I bring my clinic and staff to surrounding little league's around the Worcester area to teach their children. For every child that signs up, $25 is donated back to the league as a fundraiser. The average of 40 kids per clinic raises $1,000 for the hosting league. Now I am asking for some help my friends, family, and the surrouding community so I can make these clinics happen.
I have a burning passion for the game of baseball, and now that I am going to miss the rest of my Junior baseball season in college, I want to do everything I can to be able to walk and coach come June 20th (the first day of my summer clinic in Leicester Ma.) I am also running clinics in Spencer/East Brookfield, Charlton, and Paxton while I am talking with other little leagues such as Nipmuc, Millbury, Quaboag, and Holden looking to book my remaining two clinic weeks I have available.
I absolutely LOVE coaching kids. I LOVE helping people and giving back to the community. I want to see the game of baseball continue to grow from the youth level where it all starts, and share the joy that it has brought me throughout my life with others. Hopefully, they can experience some of the joy and happiness as well. Baseball has taught me everything in my life. Whether it is playing the sport itself, the family you make from it, your direct family as well, I attribute all my success in life to this sport. It got me to the school I am at, it brought my family and I close together, it makes me passionate, dedicated, and such a hard worker on and off the field. It teaches you perserverence and courage. And it makes you a man. All these lessons I have learned, I wish to continue to give back to the kids who I wish to teach this summer. With your help, I can raise funds to make this happen. The more money raised, the more my clinics grow!
Though this injury is extremely unfortunate, painful, and difficult, it is just a minor set back in a world full of opportunity and possibilities. I will be ok which is why I am not asking for money to pay for me, I am asking to help raise the money I would have made before the clinic so I can do what I love; teach kids the game of baseball. and run these clinics to the best of my abilities with the maximum amount of children possible at each clinic!
