Ryan P. Johnson Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Friends and family,
On October 11th, my friend of 20+ years,  Ryan Johnson, experienced a severe Type 1 diabetic reaction while showering in his home and as a result sustained second and third-degree burns to his hands, arms, and right side. He is currently in great hands at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest's Burn Unit, has received three surgeries for skin grafting, and will come out of an induced coma in the next week or so.
Ryan's injuries are significant and at one point threatened his kidney function. The good news is that with some hard work in physical therapy and time to heal, Ryan will make a full recovery from his injuries.
However, he had just begun a new job that unfortunately will not be there for him when he wakes up. He also will use COBRA to continue his health insurance and has a variety of bills that will continue to come in even as he recovers at his father's home. His dad is retired and on a fixed income and unable to shoulder the costs associated with his recovery. Other family members are helping, but the costs are significant.
We are hoping to raise money to aid Ryan during his recovery period and help give him access to the health care coverage he'll need in the coming months for physical therapy, additional procedures, and follow-up appointments.  This includes health insurance costs that increase significantly as he uses COBRA for continued coverage.
Please donate any amount you are able to and keep Ryan and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he begins his recovery in the coming weeks.

Thank you.
