<div>Ryan, like many stubborn men shook off a nagging pain when it first came in.  After having that pain in his stomach that would not subside Ryan decided to go to the ER, thinking he was having gallbladder issues. Unfortunately the news was much different when the results came in. Ryan King was diagnosed with Hemochromatosis which is an excessive amount of iron in his blood. He left the hospital that night with all but a death sentence as the diagnosis for this is not promising depending on certain factors. After meeting and consulting with numerous experts he was told he had late stage cirrhosis of the liver and had 1 year, maybe 2 to live but that ultimately there was nothing that could be done as there was no cure. Ryan went home to his 3 children, ages 17, 15 and 14 and began the process of grieving, all while still trying to provide for his children. Not being one to accept no for an answer Ryan continued to seek medical advice and continued to consult and search for a way..a miracle..a prayer. After a few months Ryan found a Dr. who had an idea and a solution that gave the King family hope. With a successful surgey his DR. assured Ryan that he could add "years" to his life. Ryan is a single father and the sole provider to his three children so hearing "years" sounded like a new lease on life . To complicate matters even more however though insurance became a factor. Ryan does not have the type of career that offers health insurance, meaning he is forced to pay for this surgery in full before being able to schedule it. Ryan King is a musician. In fact he is the frontman and founding member of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Reinactment band "Tuesdays Gone" based out of the Raleigh NC area. For over 20 years Ryan has toured and traveled the country, singing and performing the songs of the late great Ronnie Van Zant. Ryan's passion and unbelievable stage presence and ability to sing the music of Skynyrd to life has gained him and the band a huge following all across the country.  Ryan and Tuesdays Gone have played with original members of Skynyrd as well as recognized and honored by members of the Van Zant family for the work they have done. Ryan's love for music does not stop with the Legendary Skynyrd though as he has released 2 solo albums of his own with a third currently in the works. Although Ryan's love for music fuels his drive,  that all was put on the back burner after receiving this difficult diagnosis. In the time since these developments Ryan has found himself driving trucks and working day and night trying to raise the money on his own for his surgery. As he put it recently, he doesn't have time to see his children now because of the added work, all in an effort to hopefully have more time with them one day. Ryan has given his life to spread his talent and love of music to all of us, all in an effort to provide for his children, be a good role model and a loving, caring dad. In his time of need let's step up and make sure he can celebrate more birthdays, Christmases and eventually get promoted to Grandpa! As the late Ronnie Van Zant sang
