RYAN GOULD

On Sunday, August 26th, 2018, James "Ryan" Gould was on his way to work as a Firefighter/Paramedic for Hillsborough County Fire Rescue when he was involved in a horrific and nearly fatal motorcycle accident when a vehicle illegally pulled out in front of him. Ryan was takenby emergency air lift to a local trauma hospital where he underwent multiple surgeries that saved his life. In the days since, he has undergone almost daily surgical procedures in hopes of repairing the damage to his body. Ryan has been a firefighter for over six years and while everyone who knows him, knows he is the kind of person to give you the shirt off his back, he needs us now. He has steadfastly supported his friends and coworkers in their own times of need and has always been there for all of us, regardless of the time or cost. Ryan got engaged to be married just one week before this brutal accident, his loving fiancé and family have not left his side while he fights for his life. Although Ryan is still in the ICU, with the support of his friends, family, fellow first-responders and new fiancé, we are all hoping and praying that he can make a full recovery. That’s why we are starting this page. We all know that the hospital stay is just the first step on the road to recovery, there is a long and difficult path ahead of him and we hope to all be there to support the brother we love.
