Ryan Bainey Benefit

Ryan Bainey, our friend and beloved coworker at The Dark Room, was in a car accident on December 7th. While he is ok for the most part, his hand was severely damaged. He was unconscious when EMTs arrived and was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery lasting 8 hrs to put his hand back together with screws and pins. The next day he was in surgery for 5 hrs to reattach nerves and tendons. He still needs to go back for skin grafts, and eventually he’ll have to get the pins and screws taken out. It will probably take a year for any nerve recovery, and he still may not have full use of his hand. He’s also going to need a lot of physical therapy. He has a long road to recovery, and he won’t be able to work for awhile. Ryan lives with his girlfriend Cassie, her daughter, and their 3 kitties. Their only car was totaled in the accident. And with Ryan not being able to work, they’re going to have a tough time getting by. Not to mention, the medical bills will be tremendous! Many of his friends have already made cash donations. And there have been several people offering to help. We just want to help them get through this, and try to ease their worries a little so they can have a merry Christmas!
