Hi there! I want to tell you about our wonderful friend and co-worker Cheryl Dees. Cheryl is always smiling, and almost always laughing. She has a light in her eyes that just reaches out and grabs you, and you know you're loved. Cheryl has a husband, John, and a loving family including her sons and grandkids, not to mention her beloved little doggies that follow her around everywhere. It sounds like an ideal life, one that anyone would envy, but what makes Cheryl truly remarkable is this...Cheryl still smiles and holds everyone in love, even though she has undergone some of the most tragic things a person can go through, and she is currently undergoing even more.

Recently, during routine follow up care, which included both a colonoscopy and a mammogram, Cheryl discovered that not only does she have colon cancer, but she also has an aggressive form of breast cancer as well.

Cheryl has already had two surgeries to remove some of the cancerous growths, and there are more surgeries anticipated in the future. She is also undergoing intensive chemotherapy and weekly medical appointments including lab work and other medical studies. Right now, she is coming to work as often as she possibly can, but she is already starting to miss work because she just isn't up to it, and we all know that it is just a matter of time before she can't come in to work at all.

Cheryl desperately needs our help.

We don't know how long Cheryl is anticipated to be out of work on medical disability, and during that time, medical bills will pile up, but so will other bills from daily life, such as food and utilities.

If you met her, you would see what I see. It was my wish that, in some small way, I could show you just how special she is....she certainly is to me.
