On Friday, January 15th, my mom was rushed to the emergency room after being struck by a car while crossing the street. We thank the Lord for sending his angels to watch over her and that the injuries she sustained were broken bones that we know she will recover from. As expected from such a loving, caring husband, my dad has been by her side since Day 1 and has taken time off work to ensure that she is well taken care of since her right arm and right leg were/are not functional. Last week, my mom was released from the hospital and is now in a rehabilitation center where she will be receiving therapy on her arm as well as waiting for a possible surgery on her leg in the coming weeks. As you can imagine, this came unexpected and my parents have had their hands full with appointments, doctors and insurance. They don’t know how long she will be out of work or the total cost of treatment but we felt needed to start something to help alleviate any financial stress so they can focus on treatment and healing and are asking for your help. Any money donated will be used to pay for medical expenses not covered by insurance and to help with daily living expenses.
