Massage Therapy Center Palo Alto has been at the heart of the peninsula bodywork and healing community since l981. We are an excellent resource for all types of therapeutic bodywork to help our clients recover from stress-related, physical, and emotional conditions especially after the Covid shelter-in-place order was enacted. Members of our community felt increasingly stressed due to the sudden and prolonged physical isolation and greatly appreciated receiving our therapies. Unfortunately, the County ordered our Center to close its doors in mid-March.
We were allowed to open in mid-September but our income to meet expenses is less than half of what it was before the pandemic, and we need help in slowly regaining from the severe financial loss of the inoperable 6 months where we continued paying out business expenses of rent, insurance, and other operation expenses.
We lack the financial means to continue operating as we now slowly begin rebuilding our Center back to where it was pre-pandemic and continue offering our healing professional services to our community.
Massage Therapy Center has been operating for 39 years, employs 20 professionally trained certified therapists, and has been voted the best massage business in Palo Alto every year since 2011.
Our goal right now is to save the business and survive through COVID so we can continue providing our therapeutic services to our community members for many years to come. We humbly appreciate any financial support that you are able to provide us in order to stay in business.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Lucia Miracchi, founder and owner of Massage Therapy Center, has contributed significantly to the field of somatic healing arts for 40 years, both as a body therapist and an educator. In 1981, Lucia became one of the founders of Massage Therapy Center Palo Alto and Body Therapy Center School of Massage, where she was a principal teacher. Since 1998, she is the sole owner and president of the corporation. Lucia’s fortitude, passion, and sensitivity have supported the growth of Massage Therapy Center Palo Alto as a respected business with integrity, heart, and a commitment to provide the highest quality therapeutic bodywork to clients and community.
