Surgery for Buster.

A few weeks ago my family took a trip to see other family. During the trip my dog got into a disagreement with my dad's dog. During the separation, and thanks to an underlying spinal issue we were not aware of, something happened that has my dog is in so much pain that she can not move or function without pain pills. Two vets and X-rays are indicating that she will need surgery for the pain to end. We scheduled an appointment to see what she will need exactly, however like most people, we can not afford to do what possibly needs done. We are not ready to say good bye. She is my son's first dog, our protector and most trusted best friend. If a mild surgery keeps her here with us longer, I really want to try. The pain is so severe that I fear we only have less than a week with her if we cannot fix what is wrong. Please help if you can. It will mean the world to a young boy, our family and everyone who loves her.  She is barely 7 and her presence makes everyone's frown turn upside down. Thank you for your time.
