RWTG exists because some girls would love to start skating but feel intimidated by the skate environment. It’s not about being amazing on a skateboard, it’s about letting other girls/women know there are others in Leeds who support them, or that they’re out there. We’re here to inspire.
We know the Leeds skate scene to be incredibly positive and supportive, but starting out is scary – especially for females in what has been a male-dominated sport/culture.
It's our mission to bring more inclusive skate spaces and sessions to Leeds. We want to be able to bring female skaters from around the country to coach the women (or those who identify as female) of Leeds. This means raising money for space rental, travel expenses and more so that we can grow!
