Let's Light Up Sallins This Christmas

Hi  everyone, my name is Laura Maher, member of Sallins Business Association and general manager of Reilly's SuperValu Sallins. 

Sallins Village is a place many of us call home and are so proud to call it home. Even with a population of nearly 6,000 - you only need to walk in to Lock 13, Reilly's or any of our other local shops, restaurants and eateries to feel the friendliness of the people and wow, what a community feel we have. 

So, for the last couple of years, we've been trying to bring the magic of Christmas to faces young and old by hanging Christmas Lights across the village.  Through the fundraising of Sallins Business Association and the help of many many others we were able to do this but this year we don't want to light up part of Sallins. We want to light up ALL of Sallins!

So,  on behalf of Sallins Business Association we decided to take it upon ourselves to make this happen and what support we have had already - again, a demonstration of the people, the spirit and the community we live in. Thank you for that.

However we are still in need of funds and as we need a total of €10,000  this page had to be born. So many of you residents and traders have already donated in every way you can and thank you so much again for that. If you can and/or want, please dig deep and donate on this page to help us raise the surplus needed to make this happen. If we can do this we can finally light Sallins up, not just this Christmas, but for Christmases to come!

All funds will go directly towards the purchase of new Christmas lights for the village with the withdrawal being transferred  to the account of Sallins Business Association so the organisation can make the purchase directly.
