Robbie Vierra-Lambert, our dear friend, hockey coach, producer, brother, uncle, mentor, all-around wonderful person, and an inspriration to us all, has laced up his heavenly skates and is now playing hockey in God's arena.
He leaves a legacy of perseverance, determination, and selfless giving to those in need. He gives us an example to follow for generations to come.
Robbie, an aspiring and talented hockey player with dreams of reaching the NHL, broke his neck in an automobile accident and became a quadriplegic at the age of 18.
Despite the grim prognosis from medical professionals, he beat the odds, leading a productive and meaningful life, creating a wonderful family, and inspiring others with his positive spirit and "never give up" attitude.
Robbie founded RVL S.C.O.R.E. to raise awareness for those who live with the every day struggles related to life-changing disAbilities. The purpose of this GoFundMe campaign is to continue Robbie's legacy and help those affected by spinal cord injury.
The Robbie Vierra-Lambert Spinal Cord Organization for Regaining Excellence (RVL S.C.O.R.E.) is a volunteer organization of people whose lives have been touched by spinal cord injuries. Our purpose is to assist paralyzed individuals toward independent lives through the sharing of information. Our goals are: to create programs that help newly injured individuals re-integrate into their communities, maintain an information network that will provide answers to practical questions, as well as keeping paralyzed individuals bodies ready for "The Cure". Our Philosophy is based on an independent living, help us help ourselves model. While our primary focus is to help people with a spinal cord injury, we will never loose our recognition that we are a part of a larger community of people with disabilities and we will empower all to take actions to achieve their highest level of independence and personal fulfillment.
