Ruthie Evans building awareness!

We want to continue to do the great work that Ruthie did in life. Unfortunately she was unable to overcome her pain. We want to raise money in her name for suicide awareness. Ruthie's memory will live on forever. She has touched all of us.

All funds will be directly given to the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network by Gofundme per the family' request, so her work in Nashville can continue. The family will then decide with TSPN how the funds will be allocated to help raise awareness through them.

My name is Megan and I worked with Ruth for about 3 and half years or so.  Through out those years all who knew her saw the drive she had to work hard towards her goals, which was to help others. Ruth and I helped each other and we became close, when I found out what had happened there were so many emotions that went through my mind and everyone that had found out felt the same way. But I knew that Ruth would want to continue to help people. So the GoFundMe account was started to honor her.

This is a topic not spoken about a lot because it is hard, but mental illness is no different than any other illness. We must help grow awareness, treatments, and support for it moving forward. To honor Ruthie's name and work we (friends and family) we will collect funds through GoFundMe to hopefully help someone else.

We thank you for any support that you can offer.
