Ruth C. Phillips Missions Fund
Our family matriarch (Ruth C. Phillips) went home to be with our Lord and Savior on December 21, 2017. Her passion to share the word of God throughout the world was shared far and wide. Whether it was teaching Sunday School to children and teenagers, sharing her testimony with friends and co-workers or living her life as a shining example of a Christ like woman, she wanted to ensure others knew there was light in this dark world.
In keeping with her vision, we are requesting that anyone wishing to send flowers or other mementos to honor her would instead make a generous contribution to support the Kingdom Bilingual Educational Center, Roatan, Honduras where her granddaughter Brianna Prugh is a missionary/teacher. In these acts of love, they will make improvements such as adding air conditioning, paving the entrance road, replacing projectors or other necessary improvements.
Thank you for honoring Ruth's memory and helping her spread the love of Christ throughout this world.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on December 29, 2017 at Mount Olive Church of God, 3522 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN 37311.
A celebration of life funeral service will follow the visitation, starting at 2:00pm at the church, with Pastor Gary Sears officiating. She will be laid to rest after the service in the Mount Olive Church of God cemetery.
