Rusty's Road 2 Recovery
On Monday,
January 27th 2014, Rusty Sanders left work to go to the doctor for a
non-emergency health issue. After a diagnostic CT scan was performed, a mass was
found in his descending colon and he was immediately admitted to the hospital.
Two days later he underwent surgery to remove the tumor. What was projected to be a three hour surgery
became an eight hour exploratory ordeal as 5 additional tumors were found and
removed along with more than half of Rusty's colon. The subsequent pathology
report confirmed his diagnosis of Stage 4 Metastatic Adenocarcinoma of the colon
and abdomen.
Life has been forever
changed for Rusty, his wife Lana and their two children, Hunter and Lexi. They,
like most everyone, are not prepared financially for a costly medical emergency,
but understandably, want to secure the very best care for Rusty at this critical
stage when the right treatment, specialists and facility will profoundly effect
the long term outcome for Rusty.
Even though they don't know how they will
manage his care financially, they are moving forward and trusting that God will
provide a way. Any and all donations will forever be appreciated.
If you are unable to give
monetarily please join all of his friends and family in thought, prayer and
support for Rusty's Road 2 Recovery. Fight, Rusty, Fight!
