Employee & Business Relief Fund
This fund has been set up by the Rustic Burgers House family to benefit our employees who work very hard every day creating wonderfully crafted foods with passion and delivering smiling service to the lives of our guests, who we call family. They are the heart and soul of R.B.H and now find themselves temporarily out of work due to the impact of COVID-19. Like most small businesses, even a month or two with little to no business can have an extremely negative impact on the business and its employees.
In the Santa Clarita Valley, we are mainly known as a full service, sit-down, family gastropub restaurant. Our guests love to come here to enjoy the atmosphere, to gather, & to socialize, because of this take-out has always been a very small part of our business. Our servers rely on tips from full sit down service to pay bills and put food on the table. The reduction in business has also caused the majority of our staff to be cut. We have made efforts to adapt our business by pushing take out, but it is nowhere near enough to keep our employees paid & our doors open.
Amidst this second shut down and continuing COVID-19 restrictions we are facing the devastating reality that our restaurant, and everything we all have put so much effort over the years, might not make it past the new year. Our employees, all of whom count on RBH to pay their bills and support their families, are finding themselves suddenly without work. Unfortunately for our staff, any aid or unemployment benefits they should be receiving is not coming fast enough, is far too little, or is not available for them. We are trying the best we can to band together as a family and get through this, but our moral support is simply not enough.
With your support, you can help us keep our local small business alive and help our employees to survive this harsh new era. We have applied for any and every type of government assistance and grant but unfortunately, we have not been granted very much from the governing powers. We know how strong the SCV community rallies for local causes, especially small family-owned businesses. We have become a part of this community over the years and know many of our guests personally. We have donated to multiple local causes and have tried to do what we can to make our town an even better place to call home. We are humbly asking for any donation to keep our doors open and help us in our time of need.
We pledge the funds raised from this campaign will be used to benefit our struggling/ out-of-work employees, and towards the mounting costs of running our restaurant during this pandemic.
