Russian translation of book on Afghanistan

Last July Oxford University Press published my new book,Afghanistan What Everyone Needs to Know. Since then I have been offered a contract to have the book translated and published in Russian, but the publishing company (Academic Studies Press) needs $6500 to pay the translator. I have been involved in dialogue with Russian experts and officials on Afghanistan for many years and as the photo shows I often travel to Moscow. I will not make any money from this, but it will promote knowledge sharing and debate about Afghanistan between Russia and the US. I would be grateful for any support.
