Russian Business Owner Sponsors Ukrainian Refugee

ZENAROSE Salon been a super proud, BOSTON BASED - WOMAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS since our inception in 2014.

We pride ourselves on contributing to our community—near and far. Most recently, the events in Ukraine have deeply saddened our hearts.

Our owner, Marina, was born in Russia and arrived here as a refugee at 12 years old, later becoming a Naturalized American and starting a successful, woman-owned business. To pay it forward, ZENAROSE is sponsoring a Ukrainian refugee. Yulia Vorobiova is fleeing the war in Ukraine with her young daughter, Anastasia, leaving her husband behind as he fights for their country.

ZENAROSE has pledged to sponsor Yulia and her daughter for two full years. As a trained hair stylist with 15+ years of experience, Yulia will join the ZENAROSE team and Anastasia will attend a local school. They’re arriving the first week of June with little personal belongings—just a backpack of essentials.
