Russell Upchurch Fire Recovery

Hi friends, I am looking for help from you, community, for a dear high school friend, Russell Upchurch. I am grateful that he is safe, and am heartbroken that he lost everything he owns plus his best furry buddy. He woke up Monday morning in his house in Santa Rosa, CA to his house ablaze. He quickly alerted his roommates so they could get to safety before the house burned down.

He tried to save his cat, who he considered his best friend, but almost lost his life in the effort. He left with the clothes on his back, his truck, and no shoes. His cat died in the fire. His roomate took the photo above at the site where the house was.

Russell and I went to high school together in Marin and he was an important support to me through that time in life and beyond. He is an amazing person and friend who opened his home to all of our friends when we were growing up.

Although the things he has lost cannot be replaced, please help me raise funds to help Russell get back on his feet. Any amount helps. Thank you so much for your help.
