<div>This is an extremely humbling undertaking. It has been years to get to this point. I have been struggling from car accident in 2019. Which led to having to quit a great job at that time. I found myself unable to read for 3 months... thankfully i began to read once again. I became homeless due to not being able to pay rent. Although i had offers from Family, Friends. My pain and pride did not allow me to accept the gracious offers. Mainly because of noise, anxiety, confusion. I lived in my small car for 2 months. I asked a relative to help me check into hospital due to thoughts of suicide and depression. After a bit of time i did accept kindness from Family and Friends.

<div>Over the years I was able to manage daily migraines/concussion symptoms. I was thankfully able to handle some short term jobs. Then was blessed to get a position working with Children/Families through Siksika Children Services. At that time. Pain, memory, anxiety was getting better. Until i was having to complete an intense 6 month government delegation training. Was extremely challenging. I truly have not idea how i was able to complete it. As the intensity of the training/job itself increased. Carrying a caseload, licensing homes, creating calendars/events, trainings for Kinship, Foster Parents, Elder sessions. All were affected.

<div>2 years ago. I had another accident. From that accident symptoms began to become more severe.

<div>I had began vomiting, crying from pain. Losing balance more frequently. Memory had diminished to the point where i was told something simple at work. Then having to turn around seconds later and ask what i was just told. Not being able to sleep. Thoughts of suicide and self harm. I had to acknowledge I was not doing the work, Families/Children justice. This is a part for me that has caused me the most heartache and shame. I decided to begin short term medical leave. March 2025. Hoping some how i could find what my issues were and have them addressed and worked on immediately. This sadly has not happened. I have seen various professionals, specialists, Elders, Ceremonies. But much more is needed.

<div>I have started a long term disability. Although I am receiving funds from medical leave. It hasnt been enough to cover all bills, necessities each month. I am thakful. Unexpected life events with vehicle issues in the last few months. Worsening pain, memory, balance issues, depression. Things have become unmanageable. I again am humbled immensely that I've found myself at this point in my life.

<div>I wish I could be working. Assisting others with their needs. Like i have through my 29 year career In the not for profilt, group homes, K-12, post secondary. As a Youth Worker, on and off. As well as a Wascapio for various Ceremonies. I am hoping to ues funds to access more healing avenues and pay off over due bills. I cant thank you all enough for your time and caring. Much love to you and your families. As well with what ever you my be struggling with.
