This is my friend Quinn. He has a good family, good friends, a good job, and an MBA. He also has a total of 6 herniated discs and multiple torn muscles in his back that have prevented him from living his life to the fullest for the past 16 months.
In May of 2016, he injured his upper back while on the job at the golf course he was working at to pay for grad school. He tore multiple muscles and herniated 3 discs in his upper back, and had to immediately seek medical help. Since then he has spent over $10,000 out of pocket, followed the advice of multiple healthcare professionals, and tried a multitude of different procedures and therapies to treat his issues. Over time, Quinn's upper back injury caused postural problems that also resulted in 3 herniated discs in his lower back.
Quinn initially received worker's compensation, but lost his benefits when he moved back to Bellevue from Portland. He would like to move into his own place, pay off student loans, exercise, and play soccer again like he did competitively in college. However, this injury that has held him back for this long continues to do so.
Our goal is to raise funds to cover Quinn's medical expenses, even a portion will help him out. He has recently been trying a newer treatment called Platelet-Rich Plasma, which uses his own blood and growth hormones to heal damaged areas of his body, but injections cost $900 each on top of what he has already paid AND it's not covered by insurance. He is going to continue receiving these treatments and exploring more options to help him heal - he has done everything in his power to get himself better, and will continue to do so. All Quinn wants is to live a normal life. With your help he will be able to do just that. Thank you all for the support!
