RUSH to REOPEN the Lee Lifeson Artpark

Donation protected

Are you a fan of live music? Have you reached peak frustration with a year and a half of lockdowns? We're with you. David Barrett and I want to bring a night of Rush songs PLUS original music inspired by these titans of progressive rock--- to the break the silence over at 'Lee Lifeson Artpark' in Toronto on Wed Aug 25 at 7pm.

If we reach our goal then it's ON! If not--- the silence wins!

I'm Jacob Moon, and I'm a singer-songwriter from Hamilton ON. I have been a Rush fan for a long time. Imagine my surprise when Geddy, Alex and Neil asked me to perform 'Subdivisions' for them when they were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame! Imagine my delight when they asked me to perform it again when they opened the Lee Lifeson Artpark!

Since then, we tragically lost beloved drummer Neil Peart, and the band and the park have gone quiet. I would like to come and perform a double bill concert at the Lee Lifeson Artpark in Toronto on Wed July 25 at 7pm, with my good buddy David Barrett. The idea is to make it FREE admission to the public where you can come and bring your friends. If we reach our goal, we will be including a live stream feed, so our international fans can enjoy the show, even if they can't make it to Toronto. But only if we get the funding! Otherwise, this owl won't fly!

We need the $2112 to cover the costs associated with production, rehearsal, promotion, permit fees and personnel so that we can bring this special event free of charge to all.

With your donation, you are bringing Rush music and musicians inspired by Rush to a place that bears the names Lee and Lifeson! What could be a better way to celebrate the reopening of our parks and gathering places? The residents of the community around the park will attend and get to hear the music that inspired the place.

The livestream audience is limitless! This concert will certainly reach people who couldn't physically attend.

Our experience last year at the first-ever Rush the Artpark event was a huge success with Rush fans from all over descending on the park, as well as local residents taking in the concert.

Risks & Challenges

We need to get the funding started within that crucial first week so we can:

pay the park fees to secure the venue, begin the advertising process, secure sound reinforcement personnel and city workers. We can get this all done fast if we know that you're with us!

We can only have 100 people seated in the bleachers for the event, but there is ample room around the park to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the show from there.
