Fast forward to when my mom was 40 years old and went through an entire genetic investigative panel for cancer genes, but more importantly BRCA1 and BRCA2 which are the main genetic markers for developing breast and ovarian cancer. She tested positive for BRCA2 and had a decision to make. She made the choice to prophylactically remove her ovaries at a young age which pushed her into early menopause. This was big decision and she still struggles with the side effects to this day.
I want to raise money for women to be educated on the early symptoms, to be able to have early detection, for those fighting, for life alternating treatments and for survivors out there to continue to live their lives one day at a time.
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
