Running for my best friend

In August 2017, my best friend since freshman year of high school tragically passed away at the age of 25 from viral encephalitis. She was one of the most incredible people I have ever known. She dedicated her entire post-college career teaching and mentoring underprivileged high school students in both inner city Chicago and Madrid, Spain. After Amanda passed away, her family started the Amanda Rose Laura Foundation, whose mission is to support teenagers growing up in poverty and providing them with an enriched educational experience. I am running the NJ Marathon on April 29th to raise money for the foundation, and to continue Amanda's selfless commitment to fix an undeniably broken school-system.
