Running for Love Inspire Burton.

My name is Betty, I live in Burton upon Trent and with Lockdown 2 looming I thought I’d use my time to look out for others in lockdown and raise money for those in the community who need help during these difficult times. 

I’ve challenged myself to do at least 13 runs this month, each longer than the last, culminating in a half marathon. Run One being a mile, Run Two 2 miles, and so on.

Any money donated will be going to the Love Inspire Foundation, based in Burton upon Trent, who have “supplied hundreds of people with warm food and shelter and offered aid for those struggling with mental and financial issues”. I chose to support this charity as I know how hard lockdown is without furlough and want to help those in that position this time round. 

I only started running in May, have arthritis and the furthest I’ve run before is 9 miles, so this truly is a personal challenge and I hope you can donate even just a little, thanks for reading!
