Help Bogart run without pain.

Donation protected
Our one year old darling Basset has a common genetic disorder that causes one of the bones in his leg (in his case the Ulna) to stop growing early.  This causes the other bone (Radial) to bow badly, and jut out from the elbow joint (Called partial Luxation of the Elbow).

The surgery for this is not cheap, and requires the under developed bone to be cut, pinned, and likely have a plate put in.  The bowed bone, has to be cut notched, and folded back into the joint.

He is a happy puppy who loves to play and wrestle at the dog park, but it kills us to bring him home and watch him limp around the house after a hard hour of fun.  He deserves to run and play while he is young, and we can manage his eventuall arthritis when he is older.  He shouldn't to be so sore that all he wants to do is sleep on our lap after a fun day at the park.

Can you help him?  Please?

Why $6000:  The initial surgery will cost between $2,000 and $3,000.  There will be multiple rounds of X-rays which cost around $400 each visit pushing us to about $4000.  Meds and follow up visits tend to run about $1000 on these types of surgeries, and the extra $1000 is for any complications.  Any funds left over will go to Basset Rescue of Puget Sound:
