Run for Wyatt x Childhood Cancer Canada
On October 16, 2022, the Schulich Pacemakers will be participating in the Detroit Free Press International Half Marathon. Through this event we will be fundraising for Childhood Cancer Canada, a local organization that funds research and programs for kids with cancer and provides support and resources to families facing a new diagnosis.
We chose to support this charity because of Wyatt, a 9-month-old boy whose family is friends with one of our Pacemakers. Wyatt was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma last month and is currently facing the fight of a lifetime while undergoing chemotherapy at SickKids. We hope that through sharing Wyatt’s story we can raise awareness for childhood cancer and contribute to this organization that provided support and a little bit of relief to Wyatt’s family during this difficult time.
You can read more about Wyatt’s story or donate to the family directly here: https://gofund.me/64670080
Thank you in advance for raising awareness for childhood cancer in Wyatt’s name and for supporting Childhood Cancer Canada.
