<div>On 14 September, I will be running my <strong>first half marathon</strong> in Copenhagen, the city that has been my home for the past two and a half years.

<div>Two years ago, I got diagnosed with endometriosis – <strong>a chronic women's disease,</strong> which in my case is there every day; invisible for others but tangible and present for myself.

<div>A lot has changed since that diagnosis, I became more aware of it, scared of all that came with it and the questions that kept being unanswered. Over the past two years, I have worked hard, both <strong>physically and mentally</strong>, to accept and learned to live with it.

<div>As sports have always been a big part of my life, and being fit was not a given anymore. I will be running the Half Marathon with the goal to show myself and others to <strong>have trust in your body ,take your time and enjoy sports again!</strong>

<div> 1 in 10 women has endometriosis, but it often takes years to diagnose. As well as the amount of still unanswered questions and symptoms. <strong>That has to change.  </strong>More research and awareness are desperately needed.
