Hi, I'm Shabana and I have set out on an exciting, soul-stirring journey: running 10 kilometers in 10 different countries to prove that age is just a number, and strength has no expiration date. 
 
Being in my 50s I am doing this not to outrun menopause, but to run right through it with power and purpose. I am here to break the stigma around menopause and aging. 
 
Why? Because menopause is not the end of the story — it’s the start of a whole new chapter. One filled with strength, self-discovery, and YES, a body that still has miles and magic left in it. 
 
Too often, menopause is treated like a slow fade into invisibility. Let’s show the world that this stage of life isn’t about shrinking — it’s about expanding: our courage, our confidence, our horizons. 
 
I would like to inspire women of my age and older to embrace their bodies, their strength, and their wild and prove that midlife is not a crisis — it’s a comeback. 
 
Why? Because somewhere along the way, many of us were told to slow down, to play it safe, or to act our age. And I’ve decided I’m not having it. I’m running — literally — in the opposite direction. 
 
This mission isn’t about being the fastest or the fittest. It’s about showing up, stretching my limits, and proving that no matter your age, your background, or your current situation, it is NEVER too late to dream big, move your body, and reconnect with your sense of adventure. 
 
This mission is about freedom, fearlessness, and female empowerment. As a woman in my 50s, I want to break the mold, challenge expectations, and inspire other women like me to chase bold dreams – whether that's lacing up for a run, starting a business, or simply choosing themselves for once. 
 
How your support helps: 

Your donations will help cover travel expenses, race entry fees, accommodations, and the tools I need to document and share the journey. I’m also collaborating with menopause and women’s wellness organizations to raise awareness and offer real support to women navigating this transition. 

Part of the support received will go in to charity supporting Orphans.
 
I’ll be sharing the highs and lows of each 10K — the sore muscles, the beautiful sights, the sweaty joy, and the powerful lessons — all in the hope that my story inspires someone else to take their own first step.
