Rory Burnside and Rudely Interrupted are seeking support for Rory's new keyboard and some studio gear. Rory's current Nord Keyboard doesn't allow him to record and sample his song ideas, import and export sounds, split the keyboard for live performances. Given Rory was born without eyes it makes it very difficult for the creative process without sighted support. The band and Rory would greatly benefit from access to technology like most every modern day songwriter.
Thank you so much all you legends, we've made our target and Rory will have a new Nord thanks to your generosity. We all want to see Rory be his best and he's a step closer to removing a big access issue for him and I know he's been watching the support come in. I'm sure a little obsessive about it, so it has a great impact on him it's good to know. Yay!
We've been fortunate lately, gaining support for Rory, appearing on TV The Project with Waleed, but "You can't always get what you want", and we've unfortunately recently learned we missed out on several grant applications to help fund the next EP record. And in typical Rudely Interrupted fashion we're not going to let these set backs stop us so we thought it a good idea to keep the momentum of this campaign rolling.
We've got a great bunch of great song ideas and tunes we've been slowly working on and we need some extra support to help us obtain the production values we have always set for our music. We've got a successful process down with some great folks but there's some set costs we have to meet, however we can reduce the time and money we spend with studio hire fees by updating our studio computer from 2009 to a current model and produce the majority of the record in house and have the current tech to produce new content more often in house. We'd love to mix n master the record with our usual team and reaching the target will help us secure the time required with the folks we love.
Everyone that supports will receive a download of the record and artwork and we'll add some incentives, different ideas and options to make it fun. Because some have already kindly supported you'll be considered and included in our incentives approach moving forward with the campaign. Somehow we'll make it work because you love you!
