!!! RUBY ROR !!! SUPPORT

Donation protected

You may not know her by name you may have seen her; Ruby Ror out on her scooter in Weyburn Saskatchewan.  She needs your help.  She recently has been diagnosed with breast cancer.   She is heading to Regina for surgery on Monday December 17.

Ruby currently is living month to month on her pension with little room in the budget for unexpected expenses.  Yes, she did have a little money stashed away that was depleted this past year.  A year of ordeals it has been for her.  We all would love a helicopter ride but the one Ruby took on STARS air ambulance last fall to Regina was not the one she was wanting.  She was rushed to Regina for the hematoma that was blocking her air way.  That trip lead to a week or so in the hospital in Regina.  She stayed strong and before you know it was all ready for a scooter ride.  A beautiful morning in late October she heads out and on a ride.  A miss calculation by a motorist she was struck and trapped on her scooter under the vehicle.  After emergency crews freed her from under the vehicle, another ambulance ride then more time in the hospital.  She spent time in Weyburn hospital.  Her condition was outside of the level of care possible she was required to go to Regina again for additional care.  Slowly she recovered and although slower then before back on her wheels.

These things have taken their toll on her and that little stash has depleted.  Of course, her son Marlin does his best to help.  He has been making many long drive backs to Weyburn to help Ruby.  Helping her get to appointments, doing additional chores that are missed by some helpful friends, taking care of his moms well being and most importantly trying to keep her spirit positive and happy.  These trips coming at a cost as well; and with Marlin having a few health-related issues arise has been out of work for a few years now and his slush fund has depleted.  For those of you who don’t know Marlin very well he is a very caring loving person and would go without before he let his mom go with out.   The help for Ruby will set her mind at ease during her recovery knowing that Marlin isn’t having to cover the extra cost.

With that we ask that if you could spare a few dollars to help Ruby with expenses and to make sure Marlin is able to be there to not only physically help her in her recovery as well emotionally.  The goal set at this time is $1000.  This money will be used to cover expenses for gas to Weyburn and Regina and other travel expenses; additional care / house keeping expenses arising after surgery and any other incidentals that come up.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
