Bob Gautreau Fire Relief
Donation protected
Early this morning, my Uncle, Bob Gautreau, was awoken to fire alarms in his apartment in Salem, MA. He quickly grabbed his fire extinguishers and tried to help put out a fire in the basement. After calling 9-1-1, and alerting his neighbors about the fire, the fire engulfed the entire apartment building and all of the residents lost all of their belongings. Luckily, everyone was able to get out safely.
In this terrible fire, my Uncle lost all of the plays, scripts, and novels he has written over the years, countless priceless objects that were once my Grandmothers, as well as a lifetime of collectables, stage makeup and costume, and every one of his other personal belongings.
My Uncle is one of the most caring, loving, funniest, genuine people in the world. Never have I met someone who doesn't love Bob Gautreau. He is the light in the room and everyone is always drawn to him. Growing up, Bobby Claus showed up on Christmas morning with a funny Santa hat and a car full of presents, complete with a stocking for each person, filled with thoughtful gifts. It is heart breaking to know that this Christmas will have such a different meaning for him.
It is hard to make sense of why bad things happen to good people, and that is why I am creating this page for my sweet Uncle, who does nothing but love and care for everyone else in his life. Please, in the spirit of Holiday giving, anything helps. Bob is in need of just about everything at this point, and I am rallying troops to help ease the pain of this tremendous loss.
Thank you for your generosity, my family and I are forever grateful!!
Peace and Love,
Jenna Clapp and the entire Gautreau/Bruno family
