Hot Coffee for the Homeless

Hi All

As most of you may know, I am writing a novel, Streets of Blame, and sharing it as it is written on a blog .   I have been working on this for the last couple of years and will have it completed no later than the end of 2016, and hopefully before the fall.

A critical element of the book is the bad situation the chronic homeless face.  Seattle is now one of the top four cities for homelessness.  It is actually getting to a critical level in Seattle . 



My intent with the book is to provide part of the proceeds, whether professionally published or self-published to reputable homeless charities and homeless veteran charities.  As a Navy Veteran, I have a soft spot in my heart for vets.

But, I also want to be able to do something now.  I took Chris' picture February 9, 2016, across from the ferry.  He said,  "I am cold.   And I was hoping to get some  coffee."

To honor Chris, and the many other individuals in need, I have started this Go Fund Me and will use it to purchase $10 Starbucks cards.  I will distribute them to someone each day, so these folks can get out of the cold for a little bit, and get some coffee and breakfast or lunch or something to eat for dinner.

If we hit $1,000 and all cards are distributed, I will start another fund, and keep this going.

I appreciate the support.  I will continue this and provide updates for all.
