Help me Fight Cancer

Hi there,

My name is Jorge and I’m a 24 year old Christian Cuban-American living in Miami

Recently I was diagnosed with Invasive Mucinous Adenocarcinoma (lung cancer) and it has turned my life into a spiral of confusion, frustration, depression and sadness. Unfortunately I have no where else to turn as I live and am alone and  my parents don't live with me. 

As of today I am still employed but managing to pay for my expenses and medical bills are starting to become very difficult for me and since I am alone this is very rough for me.

I’ve had to give up many of my dreams which were starting to begging their fruition as I was about to begin an airplane technician school but the recent news have put a pause to these plans. But my fight is not over.

I am blessed in a way though as I am being taken care of by The University of Miami Healthcare Systems, but the medical bills are starting to pile up as treatments and visits are a little expensive. Not going to put it lightly but things are tough both financially and emotionally . So I tuned to this option which was referred by a friend to give this a shot and try my chances.

Anything helps I just want to be able to fight this as best I can and see my parents again

Mi nombre es Jorge y soy un cristiano cubano-americano de 24 años que vive en Miami.

Recientemente, me diagnosticaron un adenocarcinoma mucinoso invasivo (cáncer de pulmón) y ha convertido mi vida en una espiral de confusión, frustración, depresión y tristeza. Desafortunadamente, no tengo a dónde ir, ya que vivo solo,y mis padres no viven conmigo.

A día de hoy sigo trabajando, pero lograr pagar mis gastos y facturas médicas está comenzando a ser muy difícil para mí.

Tuve que renunciar a muchos de mis sueños que comenzaban a hacerce realidad pues estaba a punto de comenzar en una escuela de técnicos de aviones y aviacion, pero las noticias recientes han detenido estos planes. Pero mi lucha no ha terminado.

Sin embargo, me siento bendecido de alguna manera porque estoy siendo atendido por The University of Miami Healthcare Systems, pero las facturas médicas están comenzando a acumularse ya que los tratamientos y las visitas son un poco costosas. No lo voy a poner a la ligera, pero las cosas son difíciles tanto económica como emocionalmente. Así que sintonicé esta opción que fue recomendada por un amigo para darle una oportunidad y probar mis posibilidades.

Cualquier cosa ayuda, solo quiero poder luchar contra esto lo mejor que pueda y volver a ver a mis padres
