Help This Family Heal

Parents, Jessica and Ahmet, of Mesa, AZ are fighting to get their six-year-old twin boys back after they were wrongfully taken into custody by the Department of Child Safety (DCS) for the unproven allegation of “Neglect.” The boys have food intolerances and chemical sensitivities which the parents have been addressing with various doctors.  “We have constantly struggled with their food sensitivities, one step forward, two steps back,” says Jessica, a licensed acupuncturist and local business owner. From soon after weaning from breastfeeding, both boys began to suffer with joint pain, irritability, headaches, difficulty sleeping, bloating and other digestive issues, itching, and rashes. The boys were improving and thriving until soon after beginning Kindergarten on August 1, 2018 when the school environment is thought to have triggered their chemical sensitivities and the boys' health began to suffer. One of the twins was taken by his parents to Cardon Children's Hospital for care and was admitted. The other twin was examined by a doctor at the same hospital who said he looked great and did not require admittance to the hospital. He was taken from his loving mother and father anyway and the parents were banned from the hospital soon thereafter and were not permitted to visit the twin in his hospital room.

The twins' first day of Kindergarten, August 1, 2018.

The boys have been monitored consistently over the last four years by local MD's, a naturopath, and other practitioners at Phoenix Children's Hospital. They have had regular lab testing and none of the doctors they have seen in the last four years have suggested the boys' health issues were caused by neglect. It's easy to see their medical care has been consistent and there is no case for the boys to have been taken from their parents. They are not even allowed phone calls. Jessica and Ahmet have no idea where the boys are residing, just that they are with complete strangers and likely scared and confused.

Jessica and Ahmet have missed a significant amount of work while dealing with this difficult situation and trying to navigate the law and regain their children. They will be hit with hospital bills soon from the time the first twin was hospitalized prior to being removed from his family.

I have known this family for seven years, before the twins were born. They have always been kind, loving, caring and wonderful parents. Please help. Please donate whatever amount you can.
