On October 21st our youngest grandson was in an ATV accident. He was airlifted to the hospital. Fortunately no spinal injuries, but severe head trauma. The evening of the accident he was taken to surgery and a good portion of the skull on the right side was removed due to swelling. It won’t be reattached for approximately two months. Severe bruising on the frontal lobe of the brain. When he can be transferred from the hospital he’ll go to a rehabilitation facility for six to eight weeks of therapy. Hopefully he’ll be home by Christmas. Neurologist has said possibly he could return to school in the spring but most likely next fall. He’s a freshman this year. It’s going to be a long slow process. We’re praying for a full recovery. Fortunately they have medical insurance but some very large deductibles that will have to be met. Also no coverage for the medical flight. If you can help, the family will be forever grateful. Please keep Robbie in your prayers.
