Retainer for Attorney

I'm a self-employed cello player and teacher in East Tennessee and am going back to court to defend myself against my ex-husband who is trying to reduce my time with my son to only 110 days a year. I don't make a lot of money and the retainer for the lawyer that I'd like to hire is $2,500. I'm willing to downgrade my cello if I could find a buyer in time, but that seems unlikely. If you know me, you know that my son, Sebastian, is my heart and it would kill me to lose him to my ex. I already met with the lawyer prior to being served to try to discuss counseling for Sebastian to prove Charles is poisoning our son against me in addition to his constant verbal abuse via text messages. Charles is claiming that I'm an unfit parent and unstable. I only have a short about of time to raise money for the attorney or find a buyer for my cello. Please help!!
