Young Widowed Father in Need

Donation protected
Sadly on Thursday the 2nd of August our family lost a beloved daughter, sister, partner, mother, Aunty, friend and more, Rozanna Langhorne, also known as Rozee to family and friends was only 25 when she passed away. Rozanna was a loving mother to Olliver John, two and a half years old, and James Michael, six months old, and also the loving partner of Luke McClymont.

Ten days prior to Rozanna’s passing, she had been admitted to hospital and had been diagnosed with heart failure caused by viral myocarditis.  When she was released, Rozanna returned home with medication and advice to make lifestyle changes in her everyday living. After being away from Luke and the boys,  her intention was to concentrate on her overall health and wellbeing in order to spend as much time with her family as possible. She took the boys to a school fete, strawberry picking and a footy game within the bounds of taking it easy. Everything was going well, she was feeling better than ever and she had a positive outlook going forward.

It came as a complete shock to hear of her sudden death on Thursday, we still don’t have answers as to exactly what happened, but suspect it was related to her heart problems.

I recieved a call from our Mum Joan at 4.30am of Thursday morning, hysterical with the news that CPR was administered for 40 minutes by the paramedics including multiple attempts at difibulation with no success. Prior to that, Rozanna’s partner and neighbours attempted CPR for 45 minutes until the abulance arrived. I called our Dad Michael, and Step-Mum Trish to come quickly as the situation was dire and raced over to Rozanna’s house myself. Once I arrived I was hit with the devastating news that she was gone. Broken hearted, I tried my best to stay strong and comfort those around me, including my Mother and Luke but it was hard once I saw those two little boys, knowing that they would never see their Mummy again. It felt like the longest day of my life. Waiting for the police to come and take photo’s so that we could go and see her and then the men from the coroners office coming to transport her felt like I lost her all over again.

She was an amazing person, commited to her family and her work. Rozanna worked in the Childcare industry and was passionate about her work which made her great at it and loved by many. She recently got her “almost” dream job as a co-ordinator of a before and after school care centre. She was a real go getter, not afraid to go for it with jobs and very encouraging to others to follow their dreams as well.

Rozanna was the main source of income for the family with Luke being the stay at home Dad. Now that she’s gone, Luke is left to support two young children with very little income so, we are looking to raise funds  for her funeral. This will be her final resting place and as her family we want to try our best to give her everything she deserves, wanted and have a beautiful place for her boys to come and visit as they grow.

Rozanna will be released from the coroners office on Monday the 13th of August and hopefully some questions as to what happened to her will be answered then. As the 11 days of waiting in limbo, have been some of the hardest days we’ve gone through.

Any support you can give would be very much appreciated,  you have no idea how much it will mean to us all. It would be wonderful to be able to leave the boys and Luke without the funeral expenses hanging over their heads, as they try to go on with their lives without her.

Much love, Alison and the family xoxox.
