UPDATE MONDAY NOV 5:
MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: with saddened hearts we have to announce that Royal Distortion is calling it a day. We gave it our best, playing dozens and dozens of free shows this year and we will play only 5 more shows and then it’s over. For good.
We will play 5 Mondays in a row starting this Monday November 12th and end with our final show on Monday December 10th. All shows (Nov 12, 19, 26 & Dec 3, 10) will be at the legendary Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles, who gave us a home as their first house band in decades. We really wish that those of you who can make it out, come and make these last final 5 shows the best ever.
IQueen and Pyn are moving back home to Greece and Bassist Gabe Maska and drummer Kevin Tylor will stay in LA and continue to play music. Hopefully they will be picked up by some great touring band that knows talent when they see it. They are simply amazing musicians and real pros.
We will have amazing bands playing with us each Monday, so we wish to see you at the 5 final shows and to celebrate real original music that moves souls. Thanks for being a part of our Royal D Family. See you at the final shows.
For those of you that have graciously donated to our campaign to help make our debut EP, we can’t thank you enough for your love, generosity and support. Without you we would have never been able to live the Dream these past months.
The cost of making this EP got bigger and without a viable label we just couldn’t continue funding it. For those of you that donated $100 or more, please write us an email at royaldistortion at hotmail dot com and give us your address to ship some gifts to you. We have the list of $100 plus donors but we wish to make sure we have it right. We truly wish we could have had a different outcome but we’ve made the most out of it.

UPDATE MONDAY SEPT 24: with your amazing donations, we recorded our last 3 tracks last night at NRG Recording Studio. All we have left is to have the songs mixed and mastered which costs about $1500-$2000. We used all of the donation money so far and put in every dime that we could from our own pockets but we’re all working full time and barely surviving so you’re support is vital and so wonderful. We wish to finish our debut EP and we really need your help and support! The above video of “Kind Of Crazy” (or at https://youtu.be/fqWDfsmvbKM ) is one of a few songs left that we wish to record. We’ve been playing all year long for free shows for you and we really need to get our music out there to grow bigger! Read below and donate whatever you can ok? Thanks so much! We started this campaign a while back and got to record a few tracks but to finish the album EP, we still will need to reach our goal of $5,000. At this point, over $3500 has been used up. We’re very excited about the potential of “Kind Of Crazy”, “Low” and “Hole In My Life” - the last 3 songs needed to be recorded. We need to raise another $2500 to record and mix and master these songs so they can be released. It’s all possible with your patronage and musical love.
