Roy Zito Memorial Fund

Reaching out for help is never easy; it is especially difficult when coping with the death of a loved one. Those of you who knew Roy know without a doubt he would have helped any of us.

On Sunday, April 8, Roy Zito lost his two-year long battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 57. Despite the seriousness of his diagnosis, Roy was as optimistic as they come. He was determined to fight and believed that, with God’s help, he could overcome. He remained a positive and beautiful spirit throughout his illness.

Roy was a husband, a father, a brother and a son. He loved God and his family above all else. He leaves behind his wife, Diana, and four children, Andrew, Daniela, Paulina and Felipe, two of whom are still living at home. He was so concerned about his mounting medical bills that he continued working until just days before his passing. He wanted so much to be able to give his family the life he believed that they deserved. In the end, the medical bills have been more than Roy and his wife have been able to handle, and the bills are still coming.

Roy’s family were already under financial strain from the medical bills. Despite the portion paid by insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses have forced them to put their home up for sale. It has not yet sold, and without Roy’s income, the mortgage payment plus the medical expenses are beyond the family’s now limited means.

Please consider supporting the Zito family financially at this time so that they may focus on grieving and not worry so much about how to make ends meet.  All donations will go toward paying down Roy’s medical bills and end of life costs.
